Tagbilaran City is the capital of the island-province of Bohol, the 10th largest island in the Philippines and is located almost centrally in the Philippine archipelago. The island province is about 1000 km southeast of Manila and about 75 km south of Mactan Island of Cebu Province. Bohol is bounded by the islands of Cebu in the northwest and Leyte in the northeast. Tagbilaran City is accessible from Manila by air and by sea, direct or via Cebu City. Cebu is the most convenient destination in getting to Bohol.
After arriving in Cebu (Mactan International Airport), take a taxi (after leaving the terminal, cross the road and walk up the stairs to your right. Now you are in front of the departure terminal where you can take a taxi using a taximeter). The taxi will bring you to the pier to get a boat to Tagbilaran, Bohol. The fast ferries take a 110 Minutes, the slow ferries 4 hours.
